CelRevive was founded by Theresa Tobin an experienced chemist (Dip. Form Chem) with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry.

Theresa received a diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer in July 2021. During her radiation treatment, her oncologist emphasised the importance of keeping the radiated area well-hydrated and moisturised to prevent dryness and reduce side effects. Upon examining the ingredients of the cream provided by the hospital, with her background as a personal care formulation chemist, she immediately knew there were alternative ingredients that could provide more potent efficacy, while being more gentle and less irritating on the skin.

 

She spent time to understand cancer treatment related skin toxicity and dermatitis conditions and conducted extensive research on natural ingredients that strengthen skin barrier function, prevent transdermal water loss, provide long last moisturising benefits, soothe irritation and reduce redness. She pioneered a unique combination of three ingredients - postbiotics, upcycle bilberry and Tasmanian pepper leaf and using the resulting product,  her skin condition improved significantly, garnering praise from nurses and doctors alike. 

 

Through her personal journey with cancer, Theresa understands and empathises the daily challenges that patients are going through. Theresa aspires to develop products to support those undergoing radiation and chemotherapy during breast cancer treatment. Her aim is to provide solace and assistance to those facing the challenges of this difficult period.
